Headphone Terminology

Headphone

To find the right headphones for yourself, it’s best to know the basic features. Listed below are the most important terms you will need to consider before finding the perfect pair of headphones.

Even at its very best, headphone bass is never the sort of pants-flapping, sock-it-to-your-gut experience you literally feel from massive speakers or subwoofers. Those systems’ bass is as much felt by your body as heard by your ears. Earbuds are tiny and portable, but, except for a couple of high-end models, they can’t compete with full-size, over-the-ear headphones for deep bass response or visceral dynamic range. As with speakers, headphones need at least 10 hours of vigorous use before they sound their best.

Sealed headphones (the noise-isolating, in-ear models or the full-size ear-cup designs) acoustically isolate your ears from your environment. Of course, the degree of isolation varies from one pair of headphones to another, and the seal limits the leakage of the headphone’s sound out to the room. Sealed models are ideal for private listening, where you don’t want the sound to be heard by other people. Open headphones, such as foam ear-pad models and many sports designs, are acoustically transparent and allow outside sound to be heard by the headphone wearer, and a good deal of the headphone’s sound will be audible to anyone near the listener.

Sealed headphones block outside noise.

Open-backed headphones allow external noise to reach your ears.

Generally speaking, such headphones produce better, more “open” and speakerlike sound than sealed designs. Precisely because they don’t block out everything from the outside world, open-backed headphones are recommended for outdoor activities, such as jogging, that require awareness of your environment.

]]>

Assessing sound quality is always a subjective exercise, but the only way to judge comfort is to put on a set of ‘phones and listen for at least 10 minutes. Do the ear pads exert too much pressure on your ears? Headphones that enclose or cover your ears can get uncomfortably hot, but you’ll have to wear them for a while to find out. Some of the bigger sealed models with cushy leatherette pads are the worst offenders. Pro-style headphones are comparatively bulky and can feel uncomfortably heavy after hours of use. Lighter headband-style headphones are almost always more comfortable than heavier ones. And even if they’re not, they’re less of a hassle to carry around.

There’s no reason a headphone should be treated as disposable technology. Unlike almost everything else in the realm of consumer electronics, this year’s headphones won’t be obsolete six months or a year from now. In fact, there’s no reason a good pair of headphones can’t last for the better part of a decade. Be sure to assess the build quality of your prospective headphones. Some earbuds and portable headphones are relatively fragile, for instance. If the headphones fold up for easy storage, are the hinges robust, or will they fall apart in a month or two? And consider that the ear pads and earbuds will get extensive wear and tear over the life of the headphones; while some models incorporate replaceable ear pads or ear tips, most do not.

Earbuds and lithe portables travel well, but those styles and ergonomics aren’t for everyone. Despite their relative bulk, many airline travelers prefer large, full-size headphones that fully cover the ears. But some larger headphones travel more easily than others. Frequent flyers will want to look for collapsible headbands and folding ear cups when seeking out larger headphone models. Similarly, many headphones include customized carrying cases, which travel better than, say, wrapping your headphone cables around your iPod.

Most stereo headphones have just one cable, usually attached to the left earpiece. Some models, and all earbuds, use a Y-cable that connects to both earpieces (double-sided). The actual cable plug, meanwhile, is usually one of two designs: a straight I-plug or an angled L-plug; the latter may be useful if your portable player has a side- or bottom-mounted headphone jack.

Single-sided headphone cables cut wire clutter in half.

Double-sided headphone cables can be tangle-prone.

Preferences for the length of headphone cables vary for portable users, especially depending on where you prefer to wear your device: a backpack or a pants pocket necessitates a longer cable, while you’ll opt for a short one when wearing a player on a neck lavalier or an armband. But a cable length at either extreme need not be a fatal flaw: extension cables can lengthen those that are too short, and cable wraps can tighten up ones that are too long.

Frequency-response specifications in full-size loudspeakers are generally pretty useless in predicting sound quality, but headphone frequency-response numbers are even worse. Manufacturers have routinely exaggerated frequency-response figures to the point that they’re irrelevant. Even the flimsiest, cheap headphones routinely boast extremely low bass-response performance, 15Hz or 20Hz, but almost always sound lightweight and bright. Generally, bass buffs will be happier sticking with larger headphones.

True, headphones with lower actual total harmonic distortion (THD) will sound better than ‘phones with higher THD. But the quoted THD numbers, “less than 1 percent”, aren’t helpful in predicting sound quality. Listen to recordings of simply recorded acoustic guitar to assess the distortion of one set of headphones vs. another. Some will sound appreciably cleaner than others.

Generally speaking, the lower the headphones’ electrical impedance (aka resistance), the easier it is to get higher volume. But here again, the low impedance is no guarantee of high volume capability; other factors can still limit loudness potential. Since many MP3 players have feeble power output, the iPod is a notable exception, smart shoppers should check the loudness before purchasing any pair of headphones. To be sure, listen with your player.

Music Headphone Buying Guide – The Different Headphone Styles

Headphone

Thinking about getting a pair of music headphones to listen to your music? How do you find best stereo headphones to fit your needs?

In today’s marketplace there are a large number of headphone manufacturers and models to choose from. Headphones have become increasingly popular because music is everywhere we are; it’s on our phones, MP3 players, and laptop computers. The newest generations of slimmed down headphones bring high resolution music or home stereo sounds directly to our ears no matter where we are.

There may or may not be one style that will fit all your needs. Whether you prefer snug fitting earbuds, or full size “cans” (stereo headphones) is a matter of personal preference, and there is nothing wrong with owning more than one pair of course. How you plan on using your headphones will also be a big determining factor in what models will work for you.

With this being said, the first step to choosing a pair of headphones is deciding what style or styles will work for you.

Below is a breakdown of the different styles of music headphones:

You are most likely familiar with earbuds as the headphones that typically come free when you purchase an MP3 player, ipod, iphone, itouch, smart phone, etc. These tiny headphones seat inside the ear canal. Earbuds are very small, making them great to travel with, they provide moderate to good isolation from external noise, and are fairly low cost. However, they do not typically provide the highest quality audio reproduction, can be uncomfortable over long periods of use or for those who don’t like things in their ear canal, and they also have tendency to fall out during running or other physical activities.

]]>

You may remember this category of headphones as the yellow headphones that used to come with the yellow colored Sony Walkman. Nowadays some of these models have a plastic like hoop that goes over the top of the head, around the back of the neck, or clip onto the ear. These are the type I personally like to use when running, or lifting weights at the gym. They stay on your ears a little better than earbuds during activity, don’t need to be put in your ear canal, don’t overheat your ears, are portable & easy to travel with, and are fairly low cost.

The pads from these headphones sit on your ears as opposed to in your ears (like earbuds) or fully encase your ears like (full size circumaural headphones). They tend to be fairly comfortable, can provide high quality audio reproduction, don’t overheat ears as much as fully sealed headphones, are typically moderately priced. However, they can become uncomfortable over long periods of use because they push down on the ears since they sit on them.

These headphones are also known as “cans”, stereo headphones, ear cup headphones and even a few other names. Basically, they seal around the ear, so that it is fully enclosed, which helps to eliminate outside noise while producing a very high quality audio listening experience. These headphones provide the highest quality audio listening experience delivering full broad range of sounds, and eliminate outside noises. These headphones can overheat ears & be uncomfortable over long periods of time, they are typically not as portable as the first two styles above, and they can be quite expensive depending on the model.

These headphones help eliminate noise by creating anti-noise. You may have seen people on the airplane using this type of headphone to help eliminate the whining noise of the jet engines, while also listening to music or perhaps not. These headphones help to reduce ambient noise, allow you to listen to your music at lower volumes, and can produce very high audio quality. Some users may be bothered by the pressure created to eliminate ambient noise (those with really sensitive ears), they can be bulky & heavy, use traditionally batteries for power, and can overheat ears.

With advancements in technology these types of headphones are becoming increasingly popular in today’s marketplace. They have no cords to keep you tethered or to get you tangled. These headphones usually cannot provide the audio quality of a wired headphone, they can be expensive, and also can be bulky & heavy.

Reviews on Successful Road of Monster Beats Studio Headphones

Headphone

Nowadays more and more people begin to ask – What brand of headphones has Lady GAGA wore on her ears? The fashionable headphones whirlwind, however, is much stronger than you could imagine. Many stars and stylish people all swagger through the streets in their Monster Beats headphones. Even Monster Company himself has not expected that their products would have become so popular that Kobe Bryant was fined after post-game press conference for wearing his Monster Beats Studio headphones which he bought himself.

Since the first released, Monster Headphones has been linked to Fashion. Its sound quality is excellent; however, Monster sets an idea and concept to its products that: First it is Fashionable; then it is a pair of Headphones. Usually, people would buy something they do not need just for not being OUT. People use headphones widely in daily life; however, seldom someone will buy headphones just for not being OUT. All Monster wanted was to produce a “Fashionable Product” based on the idea of Fashion.

At first, Monster found a Grammy Awards winner Dr. Dre, discussing how to produce a fashionable headphone product. They finally set their aims in the Hip Hop category. As Hip-Hop & Rap is an important branch of nonlocal American fashionable culture, there are many rapper products and Hip-Hop & Rap culture consumer goods in America. This is a market full of strong public appeal and easily attracting the youngs to join and get fascinated.

Like cars having luxury brands, based on high starting point Monster released its first headphones – Studio, and kept its marketing strategy of Fashion. In view of Dr. Dre’s popularity in America, Studio headphones soon received much attention. And because of its excellent quality and built-in amplifier headphone design, Monster Beats Studio can easily drive iPod – the most popular MP3 player in America. Monster Beats received a lot of praise, and, more and more famous people began to choose Beats Studio as their company. It is not because that Beats Studio is better than that of other brand in the quality aspect, but Studio has been labeled itself Fashion since its beginning. For these famous people, they need to keep themselves fashionable at all times and they need a pair of good quality headphones too; thus, Monster Beats Studio headphones become their choice.

As a fashionable product, it must have a fashionable and unique appearance. As the first product of Monster headset, head-wearing type headphones come to the world. Before the very Monster headphones, headphones could be roughly divided into two types: one is high-end professional-grade headphones which are mostly used by people make a career in music, like brand AKG’s high-end monitoring headphones; the other type is best quality high-end headphones, what fanciers pursue, such as Sennheiser HD800. Beyond all doubt, these product have a common feature — splendid acoustic but inconvenient to carry. Other than high-end headphones, there are normal portable headphones which are quite small, and some of which are beautifully designed good looking product, however, still have some gaps in acoustic comparing with those high-end ones.

It is scarcely imaginable that someone fashionable wears a pair of big headphones without any fashion elements and wanders through the streets. However, Beats Studio comes at the right moment. First of all, Beats Studio has the moderate appearance, and taking American people’ body size into account, Studio has the moderate size. In the respect of wearing, though the built-in amplifier headphone designed Studio is a little heavier than normal headphones, you will not feel tight. As a kind of high quality headphone, Studio is very comfortable to wear — On-Ear memory foam and comfortable feeling leather. The unit shell has been done with high-light-reflecting processing. Though this process is challenge – easily to get fingerprint, Sudio’s light-reflecting is very skillfully as it is not reflecting light like a mirror and we will not easily notice that the shell gets fingerprint actually.

Secondly, Monster has designed a simple and easy-remember Logo for its own brand headphones. Complying with those mainstream fashionable consumer goods such as McDonald’s and Nike, they all have their won outstanding Logo as their company logo. These easy-remember logo make people tell these branded merchandise from others on the street or among similar products easily. In contrast, some other main world headphone brands, for example, Sennheiser and Audio-Technica, lack such a sharp logo.

]]>

Last but not least, in the respect of wire design which Monster does best, their designers also stopped the unique branded design, for example, the above optional high-rank “Monster Wire”, it has the same red coat just as the Studio. Going with such an outstanding wire, how couldn’t the Studio catch passers-by’s attention?

Monster has been founded for decades; however, it takes only about two years to successfully run the headphones business. And at the end of 2008, Monster has become the No.1 selling brand on the American native land. Many stars use Monster product and there comes the strong wind of Monster.

It doesn’t matter that you do not know Sennheiser or Audio-Technica. But if you do not know Monster today, then you are OUT! When Kobe was fined US,000 because of his wearing Beats Studio on the press conference, when stars such as LeBron James and Lady Gaga wore Monster Beats headphones in public places, as a young person today, you cannot disregard for Monster, just like that it is impossible that you do NOT know Nike.

We have gone too far from the subject. We had better come back to the Bests Studio headphones. Just as you know, Studio is the first product that Monster team and Dr. Dre developed together. Today, on most Monster headphones there’s the logo of Dr. Dre’s head, and we should say that Dr. Dre is the REAL spokesman of Monster headphones. Dr. Dre himself is also a famous rapper and he had ever won the Grammy Adwards. We have no doubt that when designing this Studio, Dr. Dre offered his great ideas to make it more perfect. We all know that the popular music culture in America is relative bold, quite different from that in China, even in Asia. Rap, Rock and Metal are the three most popular elements in America, of which the tone requirements on headphones are similar. Thus, we usually classify some American brand headphone tone to “American Sound” and Studio is also a kind of headphones full of Native American features.

Studio is the flagship product of Monster, which shows the word “High-end” well, no matter from its materials or design. Though the headphones are dealt with high-light-reflecting processing which will easily get fingerprint, its Mirror-like appearance is so shinning that people cannot resist it. Moreover, the Monster headphone logo “b” on the headphone unit shell is very outstanding. This kind of simple symbol will easily impress anyone. In this aspect Audio-Technica does the same, however, you cannot deny that comparing with Studio, the product package of Audio-Technica is not that good.

Though Studio is big in size, it will not prevent people from wearing it on the streets. As you can see in the previous pictures of accessories, Monster provides Studio with a elliptic case which is convenient for people to carry everywhere. On the Studo body there are also folding and flexible joints. These joints are not fixed by screws but very compact. Just as what we say, we do not have to worry about the quality and workmanship of Studio.

Studio headphones use breathable memory foam on the earcups. In hot summer, however, people will of course feel oppressed by the heat and sweat. We advise that people wear Studio out when it is a little cool. Finally, let’s talk about the advantage of Studio. No matter how outstanding the Studio appearance is and how excellent its workmanship and materials are, there’s still the advantage – the weight of Studio. As a user, maybe on normal conditions you will not feel any pressure while wearing the Studio as there’s the soft memory foam. However, when you want to lift up your head you will find the Studio cannot well fix on your ears because it is too heavy and not tight. So when wearing the Studio on the street, you’d better keep your head steady.

Except as a high-end headset, Studio has some other intimate functions. Maybe it is that these added functions raise the weight. On the right shell there’s a button on the logo “b” which can switch it to silent mode. On some past functional noise reduction headphones there’s also this function. Now, with this function, does it mean that Studio is also a noise reduction headphone?

In fact that was not the case, or you only say half of it. Studio is a headset which can hold batteries. Take off the unit shell on left earcup, there’s the battery case. It should pay attention that only with batteries the Studio can work. Studio is not like other functional noise reduction headphones which can work without electricity and this gives users some inconvenience. Studio headphones use two 7# (AAA) batteries which you can buy in the supermarkets and convenience stores. However, we suggest you buy the rechargeable batteries if you use Studio a lot. According to Monster workers’ opinions, two full 7# (AAA) batteries can continuously support Studio for about 20 hours. If people listen with Studio for 2 hours, then Studio can support for 10 days and needs charged for 3 time a month. Also there’s a power switch on the side of silent button. When you turn off you will hear the tiny electric current sound which is made by Open-circuit, harmless to headphones itself and the sound will disappear later.

As we have mentioned above, Studio is pure “American Sound”. It has thick low frequency power to play the American’s favorite music which requires low frequency and transiently showing on details. Comparing with Tour, Studio is more “balance”. Voice is not so sharp as that of Tour, but integrates into the whole music, making the whole music more harmonious not overstressing on some parts. Otherwise, Comparing with the Tour headphones we have met, Studio voice is a little more “well behaved” as it cuts the limit sounds partially on both extreme and the whole music becomes not that wild but outstanding balancing voice.

Low frequency is still Studio’s focus – performing pretty good in low frequency. Not like Tour, Studio low frequency is thicker and simpler, no exaggerating descending but just meeting the needs of music like Hip-Hop. High frequency is one of the aspects that we have criticized on Tour – it is too sharp and not pleasant at all. While Studio pays more attention to balance and low frequency – a little “overcompensation” on the high frequency, balanced and a little lacking of details. Therefore, as a whole Studio voice is centered in medium frequency and low frequency which is not very suitable for who like bright soprano voice.

Today, acoustic is not the only yardstick for a GOOD HEADPHONE; For the young users, especially hipop fans and NBA fans, the outward appearance is also one of the standards for a GOOD HEADPHONE, and even a crucial standard. As a new emerging force in headphone industry, Monster products lay equal stress on both appearance and acoustic. On the basis of ensuring appearance and acoustic, Noise Reduction function has been added to the flagship product in the Monster range – Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio, which meets high level customers’ requirements and brings them much more satisfaction. It is not a strange thing to accept that Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio becomes the favorite choice for many stars. This article is written by hotsalesmart.com;

Review: V-Moda Crossfade LP Headphones

Headphone

When getting a V-Moda Crossfade LP headphones, it’s hard to deny the quality of the look and feel of the headphones. The physical look and feel should be good, since the headphones go for around 0 from hotsalesmart.com.When getting the package, you’ll notice a nice hexagonal box with a leather-like handle on top, a studded snap button for opening and closing, and a nice red ribbon that you have to cut to actually open the box for the first time. When I cut the ribbon, I felt like I was debuting a new mall or theme park.

http://hotsalesmart.com/vmoda-crossfade-lp-headphones-gunmetal-black-p-61.html

Once the ribbon is out of the way, you’re left with a sleek-looking shell case, molded into the shape of the headphones with a nice comfy interior. You unzip the case to reveal a nice pair of V-Moda Crossfade LP headphones and two audio cables (one for stereo sound, the other for phone converstaions). Each of the cables are tangle-resistant, thanks to the braided fabric used and have gold-plated plugs, with one end being straight and the other being at a 45-degree angle. You’ll also find a 1/4-inch adapter for audio outputs with larger sockets, like my Denon receiver, a carabiner, for clipping onto your belt or etc, and a cleaning cloth.

Putting the headphones on is comfortable, thanks to the squishy foam. The problem I have is that excessive use will make your ears suffocate, but at least you won’t have to worry about outside noises, thanks to its snug fit and big ear cups. It’s perfect for use when you have an annoying neighbor who insists on bouncing his basketball over and over again on the driveway. Actually, when I throw a party, I’d prefer my all my neighbors to each wear one of these. The metal plates and headband extender give off a very expensive and shiny look, but they are prone to fingerprints (that’s what the cleaning cloth is for).

V-Moda has gained quite a reputation for its stylish, low-profile earbuds, so it’s not terribly surprising that the company has decided to dip its toes into the full-size headphone waters. As would be expected, V-Moda’s entry into the space is every bit as stylish as its ultraportable siblings. The Crossfade LP headphones run about 0 and feature top-notch construction, plenty of features, and a comfy fit. Unfortunately, sound quality is not consistent across all genres of music, so if you have eclectic taste, these aren’t the best option. However, this set does offer great, encompassing audio for club and dance tracks, as well as provide decent response for some midtempo electronica and big pop, which makes them a suitable option for some.

To say that the Crossfade LP headphones are different than the rest of V-Moda’s earphones is a bit of an understatement. The Remix line includes only supertiny in-ear models, whereas the Crossfades are monsters by comparison. These are true full-size cans with large, ultracushy padded earcups and a nice, thick padded headband. The result is a comfy fit for nearly every head size and shape, though the ‘phones did tend to make our ears slightly sweaty and itchy after extended wear; it wasn’t excessive, though.

The style of the Crossfade LP is definitely eye-catching, to the point where one tester didn’t feel “hard core” enough to pull them off, where as another was smitten with the urban-industrial design. The headphones come in a choice of three colors–gunmetal black, phantom chrome, or white pearl–and each version features shiny metallic plates fastened on the earcups and headband with mini bolts. The cups are in turn attached to the headband via skeletal metal arms that click satisfyingly when you’re adjusting the size of the headphones.

Design

The packaging of the Crossfade LP headphones is a fashion statement itself. The box is made of a combination of metallic red, silver, and black. It has a snap-to-close clip with a matching handle and square metal beads. Packaging is something that I almost always discard of, but this is certainly an exception.

The design of these headphones is simply outstanding. It would be an understatement to say that these headphones are merely nice-looking, because they are absolutely gorgeous. V-Moda has made these headphones from a combination of matte plastic, lustrous chrome, and soft leather. If you want a good idea of what the chrome looks like, think of the back of the iPod touch. The pair has somewhat of an “old school” design and has some resemblance to the Dr. Dre-endorsed Beats series of headphones.

The pair has a unique “V” design, rather than the typical round appearance, and are available in your choice of White Pearl, Phantom Chrome, Gunmetal Black, and black-and-purple Nero. The headphones have air-cushioned memory foam around the earcups. The earcups can be adjusted in length for better positioning depending on your personal preference.

The Crossfade LPs have a detachable headphone cable with a 45 degree, gold-plated 3.5mm stereo plug. The cable, which is 36 inches long, has a built-in microphone with iPod controls for music playback and volume. I was also able to adjust the iTunes volume on my Mac with these same controls. The pair also works with iChat, Skype, and VoIP. An additional 69″ stereo cable, without a microphone or iPod controls, is also included. The attention to detail in these pair of headphones is very evident, and deserves a lot of recognition.

Audio Quality

The overall audio quality of these headphones is very good. My assessment of the pair’s highs, mids, and bass are based on a one month period of use. It is possible, after burn in, that the dynamic driver used in these headphones may change for the better or for the worse. Please take this into account when reading through each individual aspect of the audio quality.

* Highs: The highs are very apparent in these pair of headphones, and they sound very rich and warm. The sound quality is very clear and you will immediately pick up on some background audio that you may not have heard as easily with other pairs of headphones.

* Mids: The mids that these headphones deliver are good, but they are somewhat drowned out by the high level of bass. Songs from the pop or country genre will sound fine, but you’re missing out on the full listening experience that these headphones are designed to deliver.

* Bass: The bass that these headphones produce is arguably the greatest aspect of the pair. With these headphones, you can hear every thump and boom as part of an overall great listening experience. The genres of rap, rock, and hip-hop sound incredible on these headphones. The fact that bass is so prominent comes as no surprise to me, as these headphones were designed with collaboration from world-renowned DJs.

* Noise Cancellation: The over-ear style of these headphones, combined with the cushioned earcups, isolate almost all outside noises. The canceling out of exterior noises allows for you to listen to your music more enjoyably and at a much lower volume.

Build Quality

I have been using these headphones over the past month and I have yet to scratch the chrome surfaces. The chrome is covered by a clear protective film from out of the box that you could also choose not to remove. The film is ugly, however, so I removed it right away.

The headphone cables are braided with fabric to prevent against any tangles. This fabric braiding is known as Kevlar®-reinforcement, as it also makes the cables very durable. In addition, the cables must be plugged into both the audio source and the headphones themselves. This means that if the headphone cables are to break somehow, you won’t be required to fix it yourself or purchase an entirely new pair of headphones. Instead, you can simply buy a new replacement cable, at a fraction of the cost, and your headphones are as good as new.

If you’re worried about the durability of the Crossfade LPs, you shouldn’t be. The pair is very sturdy and I can almost guarantee that they will be working great for many years to come. If they do break on you, however, you’re backed by a 1-year premium warranty and a replacement program that guarantees a lifetime 50% discount.

Comfort Quality

These headphones are extremely comfortable. The over-ear style of that these headphones have is, in my opinion, much better than the in-ear style of headphones. The pair fits nicely on your head with adjustable and cushioned earcups that are well-fitted. The headphones in general are very lightweight and you’ll soon forget that they are on your head.

The only time that these headphones become slightly uncomfortable, for me, is after long periods of use. After listening to lots of music or gaming for a few hours, my ears become somewhat sore and itchy. I often take off the headphones for a few minutes at this point and readjust them to my liking. This shouldn’t be the case for everyone, however, as I predict that my ears are slightly larger than the average person.

Value For Money

You can get your own pair of V-Moda Crossfade LP headphones for 9.99† from the Apple Online Store, Apple Retail Store, or directly from V-Moda. At this price, these headphones are definitely much more expensive than a lot of other pairs, but it’s an investment that you won’t regret anytime soon. If you are looking for a pair of headphones that are less expensive, I strongly recommend that you hold off until you’re able to purchase these headphones.

You are paying for exceptional audio quality, design, and durability. The included carrying case and other accessories only add to the value of these headphones. The pair were originally introduced at a price of 9.99, which remains the manufacturer-suggested retail price (MSRP). Free shipping within the contiguous United States is offered on both V-MODA’s website and the Apple Online Store.

Final Thoughts

The extensive work that went into these headphones has resulted in a fantastic product that delivers all that you can ask for. With exceptional sound quality, an elegant design, and a bundle of accessories, V-MODA’s Crossfade LP headphones receive a very strong recommendation. You can try the headphones for yourself by using one of the in-store demo pairs at your local Apple Retail Store.

Apple recommends these headphones to music fans who want stylish over-ear headphones that deliver incredible sound from their iPod, iPhone, or Mac. The pair has received an average rating of 4½ stars out of five based on reviews written on its official Apple product page.

For the price of 0, you’ll get a durable and sweet-looking pair of headphones with a nice bass quality sound, especially good for clubbing music and action movies. If you’re looking for a little oomph, the V-Moda Crossfade LPs are an excellent choice, especially in this price range.it is time of hotsalesmart shop’s fifth anniversary, we will present 1 monster beats tour headphones (black) without package with .07 for free if you order V-Moda Crossfade LP Headphones.

Which Sound Proof Headphones are best for You?

There are two types of sound proof headphones: passive noise cancellation and active noise cancellation. The active types use technology which requires a power source, usually from AA batteries. The active type tracks environmental noise using a small microphone. The headphones receive the noise from the microphone, then create an opposing noise. This opposing noise basically negates the first noise, so that your ears don’t hear it. Some active noise cancellation headphones work better than others, so you should test out several brands before buying a set.

A few active noise cancellation headphone disadvantages:

* Higher cost.

* Battery requirements.

Passive noise cancellation is the second type of sound roof headphones, and they are based on the technology of sound absorption. Cancelling the noise is accomplished by sound damping materials in the headphones. The headphones fit closely around the ear, totally covering it. The result is very effective in cancelling noise.

There are a couple of disadvantages of noise cancellation headphones:

* This type can be very large and heavy.

* Because they fit so tightly on the ears, they may cause irritation and perspiration.

Only you can decide which type of sound proof headphones are best for you. Try them both and then buy the type which fits in with your requirements and lifestyle.
